Technical Details: How It Works

Sandboxed Execution: The Folding@home client runs in an isolated environment managed by ONE dashboard. No system-wide access, no ability to read your files or personal data.

Work Unit Flow: Your machine downloads a "work unit" (protein folding simulation parameters), runs the calculation locally, then uploads only the results. No personal data is ever transmitted.

Resource Management: CPU and GPU throttling via cgroups (Linux), job scheduler (macOS), or process priority (Windows). Set exact percentages or time-based schedules.

Open Source: Folding@home client is open source. ONE Framework integration is transparent. Full audit trail of all operations available in dashboard.
